What We Like in the New Maximo Work Centers

Posted by Matt Logsdon on March 12, 2018

Have you had a chance to explore the new Maximo Work Centers? The team at Cohesive has spent a lot of time over the last few months investigating the newly updated Work Centers. We like what we see!

For example; Have you ever wanted to use Maximo in a mobile friendly application without having to go in and adjust the screen resolutions to fit the device you are using? Work Centers are based on Google Polymer and HTML 5 and automatically adjust to the dimensions of the device you are using. So, whether that device is an iPhone, iPad, Samsung tablet, or traditional desktop, these Work Centers optimize the screen real estate to enable you to see your data in an actionable way.

Do you want to enable your workforce with the ability to complete and capture work at the point of performance from a mobile device? From logging a simple service request to capturing actuals on a work order these role based Work Centers give you what you need to capture the data and get work done.

Below are the features these Work Centers provide, the first six listed here have been revisited, upgraded in a smart, easy to use manner:

  • Approving Work
  • Assigning Work
  • Monitoring Work
  • Closing Work
  • Capturing Labor and Materials for Work
  • Conducting Inspections

Capturing Service Requests – while this one has been around, don’t forget this is still a straightforward way to put service requests in the system.
