Cohesive Solutions, Inc. has successfully completed an upgrade of IBM Maximo, a critical system for work and asset management. The project applied a systematic approach to supporting 22 sites during the project, upgrading Maximo Enterprise Asset Management, Smart Cloud Control Desk, and Maximo’s Industry Solution for Transportation.
The South Carolina based electric and water utility serves over two million customers and is a leader in generating renewable power. The organization’s ‘Reduce the Use’ energy efficiency programs are on track to help save millions of kilowatt-hours a year by 2020. Along with this initiative, continuous improvement teams are creating more efficient processes by eliminating waste and redundancies, which produce significant savings for the provider’s customer base.
The client’s particular use of Maximo for Transportation incorporates features to extend asset life, optimize parts management, reduce road calls, and increase planned maintenance. This upgrade project included a redesign of the underlying system architecture providing both performance and scalability enhancements.
