Gearing Up for the IoT Exchange

Posted by Matt Logsdon on April 19, 2019

The Cohesive team is heading to IBM’s IoT Exchange in Orlando, FL next week. The IoT Exchange is a new conference hosted by IBM, that focuses on IBM Maximo and IBM’s Internet of Things solutions. This is the first year that IBM is hosting the conference, and we are eager to see what is in store!

This conference is a “university” style event. IBM has separated the content and schedule into 4 academies: Maximo, TRIRIGA, Engineering, and IoT Platform. Each academy has its own set of keynote speakers, tracks, and sessions throughout the course of the week.

The IoT Exchange website shows a variety of speakers and presenters. It is always exciting to hear from subject matter experts, industry professionals, and other end users about what they see in the industry, and how they are using the products and services offered to overcome obstacles and achieve desired business outcomes.

Browsing through the Maximo academy session titles, we will hear a lot on mobility, innovation, and maximizing asset performance. If you are attending the IoT Exchange conference, don’t miss Anthony Honaker from Cohesive Solutions’ presentation: Building Your Strategic Roadmap to EAM Improvement, happening Thursday at 4:15 in Florida Ballroom 1.

I am also looking forward to Arrow’s session: “Guidance to IoT Innovation: Getting Critical Data into Your Asset Management System,” and learning how Universal Studios Hollywood is using Maximo Inspections to ensure show quality standards!

One aspect of this event that our team is excited about is the IBM Professional Certifications. As an end user, this provides additional value to your time at the conference! Your registration fee includes up to two new certifications, which can be obtained during the conference at designated times on a first come first serve basis.  There are 2 IBM Maximo certifications on the list (IBM Maximo Asset Management V7.5 Functional Analyst, and IBM Maximo Asset Management V7.6 Infrastructure and Implementation).

We are excited to be a part of IBM’s first IoT Exchange event, and we hope to see you there! Visit our team of Maximo experts at booth #29. Learn more about our presence at the event, and schedule a time to meet with us by clicking this link.
